New Hope Seeks Permanent Pastor

The pastoral search committee has spoken with candidates.

Westborough's New Hope Chapel is searching for a permanent pastor who will ultimately work there full time.

The "Bible-based, Christ-exalting church" at 30 Milk St., near the rotary, has advertised on its website for a pastor to initially work "20 to 30 hours per week with the intention of this position becoming full-time as soon as possible."

"Our Pastor will have demonstrated leadership abilities to help our united congregation and committed Elders continue to develop fresh vision to reach our neighbors and disciple believers while teaching and preaching the Word of God," the ad states.

New Hope's Pastoral Search Committee has "been talking with several candidates," chapel member Ralph Merrifield told Westborough Patch.

"There is no deadline. When we find the man God has chosen for us, the search will be over," he said.

The Rev. Ted Brewer served as interim pastor from last summer until June 30.
