<strong>Biography</strong>: Hi everyone, my name is Michelle and I recently became a sports freelancer for Westborough Patch.<br><br>My writing career started while I attended the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. During my academic career, I was an active member of the school&#39;s college newspaper, The UMass Lowell Connector. While working on the paper, I was the sports editor, managing editor and after a lot of hard work, the editor-in-chief.

While in college, I was also a sports correspondent for The Boston Globe. During my time at the Globe, I covered Division III high school football, as well as several other high school sports. Working at the Globe was by far one of my greatest accomplishments, and helped me enter the world of sports journalism.

After graduating in 2007 with a degree in philosophy communications, I worked for two years in athletic media relations at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. During that time, I was the media contact for the women&#39;s basketball team, men&#39;s soccer team, baseball team, field hockey team as well as the men&#39;s and women&#39;s rowing teams.

I currently live in Clinton with my boyfriend Kevin and our guinea pig Georgie. I am a huge Boston sports fan and in my spare time, I love going jet-skiing, singing along to music in my car and causing a ruckus with my sister Jeannie:)
