I've been an organic farmer for 13 years - nine as farmer manager of farmer, seven of those in Westborough as the owner/sole proprietor of Heirloom Harvest Community Farm and CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). 

While Heirloom Harvest is not a non-profit with a mission statement and program managers, I have a strong vision of the farm as an open resource for the community by creating a local food production option/model, by donating food to charity, by encouraging parents to be a part of the farm with their children to learn where their food comes from, and by creating experiential learning options for people of all ages at the farm site.

My personal goal for this blog is to provide links to good articles; short, to-the-point posts with specific information about the environment as it relates to farming and food safety; and maybe some other cool stuff like recipes and insights on topics in the news.
