Winter Clothing Drive Helps Local Kids
The Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce's HYPE9 group donated the items Friday.
Local young professionals left winter coats, hats and mittens behind at Westborough’s Tatnuck Bookseller on Friday, despite the frigid weather. The new and gently used items went “directly to the kids” in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass./MetroWest programs “that need extra winter clothes,” said Erin Harper, the agency's director of marketing and development. The Warm Winter Wishes Drive was the latest event by the Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce’s HYPE9 group, which includes members ages 21 to 40. “It looks like we got a fantastic response,” said Harper, who brought the clothing donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters.
