One of the owners says he's 'probably within a week of filing for a building permit.'
Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park developer David O'Connor said today he's "probably within a week of filing for a building permit" for his facility at the Speedway Plaza on Route 9. "I'll probably open sometime in the summer" O'Connor, the part owner of D & S Entertainment of Reading, doing business as Sky Zone Recreation, told the Westborough Economic Development Committee. An indoor trampoline park wants to land in Westborough -- rather than Northborough, as planned. Sky Zone officials will meet with the planning board at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Forbes Municipal Building, Town Planner Jim Robbins said Wednesday. Westborough Health Inspector Terry Gilchrist told the board of health in her January report that Sky Zone "wants to open behind (the) Burlington Coat Factory," which is at 290 Turnpike Road (Route 9). "They most likely would be selling food," Gilchrist wrote. Sky Zone recently announced plans to open in Northborough, at 30 Forbes Road.
