It's an early release day for the Westborough Public Schools.
Each morning, Westborough Patch presents “5 Things You Need to Know,” a collection of announcements, events, reminders and odd little ditties to help you organize your day. What will you be doing today? 1. Today is an early release day for the Westborough Public Schools. 2. At 7:30 p.m., the David French Orchestra will present a spring concert. The program takes place at 53B Otis St., across the street from Astra Zeneca. Admission is open to the public and is free with the donation of a nonperishable food item. All food will be donated to the Westborough Food Pantry. 3. It's Mother-in-Law Day. How do you rate your mother-in-law?

There is a church fair and yard sale today at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 64 West Main St. Admission is free and there will be baked goods, soups and hot cider and chowder as well as an assortment of items for sale. Rain date is Nov. 6 2. Massachusetts is 8,284 square miles. Westborough is 21.62 square miles. 3. Today is Mother-in-Law Day. No kidding. Someone made the tradition to be marked on the fourth Sunday in October. If you are fortunate enough to have a great mother-in-law, hug her and tell her how much she is appreciated. The Friends of the Westborough Public Library annual book sale begins today.

The Friends of the Westborough Public Library Book Sale begins today in the auditorium of the Forbes Municipal Building, 45 West Main St. The sale will continue through Sunday, May 22. 2. The Westborough Cub Scouts are holding a Spring Roundup for the public tonight. The event takes place at Hastings Elementary School from 7 to 8 p.m. Leaders and members of the three Westborough Cub Scout packs will be available to answer questions about scouting and sign up new members. 3.
