A Westborough teenager arrested Tuesday for allegedly using a credit card stolen from a motor vehicle faces multiple additional charges, including five counts of larceny of a credit card, Police Chief Alan Gordon said today. Police now also have charged Damien R. Hughes, 19, of 19 Nash St., with breaking and entering a building for a felony and using a motor vehicle without authority, Gordon said in a press release. Some of those charges allege Hughes used a 2004 Toyota reported stolen from Old Nourse Road on Tuesday, Gordon said. Police also allege Hughes broke into an Andrews Road garage, broke into a vehicle there, and stole credit cards from it. Police believe they're connected to the incidents over the weekend.
Two more motor vehicle break-ins were reported Monday -- and a vehicle was stolen overnight, with its keys inside, Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon said today. Westborough Police believe the incidents are connected to nine reports of break-ins of mostly unlocked motor vehicles overnight over the weekend, Gordon said. Five vehicles on Mohawk Circle, three on Hadley Lane and one on Milk Street were broken into. Police received calls about the incidents Sunday. The latest break-ins were reported on Monday, on Chestnut Street at 1:49 p.m. and on Edward Dunn Way at 8:47 p.m., according to the Westborough Police log. The car theft happened on Old Nourse Street, Gordon said.

Nine vehicles were broken into overnight this weekend.
Nine vehicles -- mostly unlocked -- were broken into in Westborough overnight this weekend, Police Chief Alan Gordon said today. "The Westborough Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles," Gordon said in a press release. Five vehicles on Mohawk Circle, three on Hadley Lane and one on Milk Street were broken into, Gordon said. Police received calls about the incidents Sunday. "Items stolen from these vehicles were GPS devices, a pair of binoculars and gift cards," he said. "A pocketbook and personal papers were also taken from a vehicle."

Northborough and Westborough departments are looking into the incidents that happened over the weekend.
Northborough and Westborough Police together are investigating car breaks that happened in the towns over the weekend. Northborough Police said one car on Davis Street and the other on Tomahawk Drive were broken into between 7 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. on Sunday. Cash and gift cards were stolen from the vehicle parked on Tomahawk Drive and cash, credit cards and identification documents were stolen from the car on Davis. "Both vehicles had been rummaged through," Northborough Police Lt. Bill Lyver said. "Items were found scattered about in the cars, on the driveways and along Davis Street." Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon said the incidents in Westborough were on Andrews Road and Brook Way.

I find it amusing that this guy has been in the Patch at least 3 or 4 times since March for B&E and car 'theft' but in April a poster claiming to "(I know this b/c I am his Mother)" seems more concerned about a "real need for responsible reporting" (http://westborough.patch.com/articles/nash-street-teen-charged-with-car-break-ins) than getting her poor excuse for parenting off the street. …   more ›
