Gibbons Plans For The Annual 8th Grade DC Trip

Plans are underway for a 4-day lesson in American history.

This June, 260 eighth grade students from Gibbons Middle School plan to head to Washington, D.C. for a four-day live history lesson. The 2011 trip is the seventh D.C. trip for Gibbons Middle School students, which has become an annual school highlight. Teachers from Gibbons are scheduled to chaperone this event. About 25 teachers will go on the trip this year, according to Christopher Fournier, Assistant Principal. The plan is for students to pack busses early in the morning of Tuesday, June 7. Fournier explained that they spend that evening checking out some sites.
