Today, we answer this emailed inquiry: Is Tidy Town picking up residents' Christmas trees at curbside again this year? "I am trying to find this information anywhere on their website and can't seem to find it.  Usually they send out a notice about it, which I have yet to receive but which could come any day now."   Christmas trees will be collected at curbside on Monday, Jan. 7, for a $10 fee, a Tidy Town customer service representative told Westborough Patch on Thursday. A Hundred at Harvey's

The town dump celebrates its centennial.

Dumps usually don’t get to celebrate anything, even 100th birthdays. But every dump is not E.L. Harvey’s. The venerable Westborough institution on Hopkinton Road is marking its centennial this week. To celebrate the occasion, Harvey’s held a reception for its commercial customers on Wednesday. If you thought a birthday party for a dump wouldn’t attract many admirers, you may have been in for quite a surprise. As it turns out, Westborough is home to perhaps the most beloved waste management company in the country.     While today Harvey’s is among the biggest family-owned businesses in New England, it began as a small dairy farm in 1911. Being raised in a 4th generation, family owned hauling company, A.J. Blosenski, Inc. I can appreciate this story!
