Heavy rain, flooding likely with these storms.
Have outdoor plans for today? You may want to bring some rain gear. The National Weather Service is predicting showers and thunderstorms for later today, which could cause street flooding. Any storms that may develop could also be accompanied by strong wind gusts. There's even a chance for these storms to become severe with damaging wind. Residents can expect storms to start developing after 1 p.m. The forecast for Saturday isn't much better, as more storms with strong wind, and the potential for flooding are also possible.

The National Weather Service warns residents to seek shelter if a storm develops.
The National Weather Service (NWS), in a special weather statement issued at 4:59 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, warned that severe thunderstorms are a possibility this afternoon in southern New England, including the Westborough area. “Various ingredients appear to be coming together to set the stage for a round of strong to severe thunderstorms from mid afternoon into the evening. Threats will include damaging straight line winds and large hail,” reported the NWS. The storms raise the possibility of localized flooding and frequent lightning.
