Fruitti Cup, a frozen yogurt store, is scheduled to open on June 1. The store is located at 31 South Street, between Sabatini’s Restaurant and TJ Farm convenience store. The Mega Millions jackpot for tonight is the third highest in its history.
The Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to $363 million and many in Westborough are willing to take a chance on winning the life-changing sum of money. “We see an increase [in ticket sales] when the jackpot hits $300 million,” said TJ Farm owner Joe Haider. “I don’t normally buy [Mega Millions tickets],” said Carol Cormier. “I buy the scratchies. At Christmas, I bought the Bingo scratchies for the girls at Honey Dew and two of them won $100.” Cormier said she buys her tickets at the South Street convenience store and once won $400. “We had a $4 million winner in 2004 and a $1 million winner in 2009,” Haider said.
