GOP Senate Candidates Debate for First Time
State Rep. Daniel Winslow, former U.S. attorney Michael J. Sullivan, and former Navy SEAL Gabriel E. Gomez discussed a wide range of issues in the hour-long debate at Stonehill College.
The quest to become the "Washington outsider" representing the Republican Party in this year's Massachusetts special U.S. Senate election was underway at Stonehill College Tuesday night when the GOP candidates met in their first primary debate. "Electing either of the Democratic nominees would be a sign of 'surrender' that we have given up," state Rep. Daniel B. Winslow said in his closing statement, referring to U.S. Congressmen Ed Markey and Stephen Lynch. Winslow, former U.S. attorney Michael J. Sullivan, and former Navy SEAL Gabriel E. Yes! From my own experience as a parent, I couldn't agree more. I read to my kids at least through sixth grade. They loved it and I loved it. They became enthusiastic and voracious readers. We also hear that there's no better way for kids to prepare for the SATs and ACTs than to read widely. Help them get started!
