Community Giving is Among Women's Clothing Boutique's Elements

Elements at the Circle owners Shams Pai and Darlene Goetz say supporting local initiatives is important to them.

All four Westborough High School grades found themselves shopping at a women's clothing boutique on Sept. 25, and perhaps recognized the owners. Elements at the Circle is owned by residents Shams Pai and Darlene Goetz. And “between the two of us, we have seven kids. We cover almost every grade from fifth to 11th," Pai says. The community connection is why the store has run several fundraisers, Pai and Goetz say. “That’s important to us. It’s the stuff that we’re thinking about," Goetz says. "It’s one way to give back to the community. I love the clothes that Darlene and Shams offer at Elements! I find the new store location on the rotary a perfect way to zip in and out -- and I love that they are so centered on giving to the community, even while they are still in the process of building a new business. Family Operated Sawmill to Open

The Midnight Wind Realty Trust Sawmill received site plan approval Tuesday night.

A family-operated sawmill will open in Westborough. The Midnight Wind Realty Trust Sawmill at 9 Old Flanders Road will mainly serve “corporate customers with cut-to-order wood materials for building equipment skids and wood for other industrial and commercial uses,” according to the business’ Sept. 10 site plan review application. The sawmill will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. six days per week, Gary Garner told the board of selectmen during a public hearing on the application, which the board approved, Tuesday night.  Garner and Lawrence Gomes met with selectmen during the hearing. Gomes and Catherine Gomes, as Midnight Wind Realty Trust, own the .94 acre site, according to the application. Garner said he has cut lumber for 40 years.  “…
