Insurance Co. Opening Westborough Office
Consumer United plans to add 120 to 150 jobs by Dec. 31.
An insurance company that allows consumers to compare carriers' prices will open a Westborough office Feb. 18, expecting to add 120 to 150 jobs by Dec. 31. Boston-based Consumer United will rent 20,000 square feet at 1 Research Drive, the former Travelers Insurance space, Chief Operating Officer Casey Gustus said today. Consumer United officials said in a press release today that "In 2012, Consumer United was named one of the ‘Top 10 Fastest Growing Companies in Insurance’ by Inc. Magazine. From December 2011 to December 2012 it experienced job growth of over 140 percent, adding approximately 100 new jobs over the year. Inc.
