Nashoba Regional High School boys' varsity golf team is heading to Westborough today.

Each morning, Westborough Patch presents “5 Things You Need to Know,” a collection of announcements, events and reminders to help you organize your day. 1. The Westborough High School Rangers boys’ varsity golf team hosts Nashoba Regional High School today at 4 p.m. at Westborough Country Club. 2. The Economic Development Committee meets at 8 a.m. today at the Department of Public Works building on Oak Street. The discussion is free and open to the public. 3. The Westborough Fine Arts Education Association Meeting (WFAEA) takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the library of Westborough High School. The group welcomes new members, and the meeting is free and open to all. 4. The summer schedule of services has now ended at Good Shepherd …

Happy anniversary to our Hawaiian neighbors! On this day in 1959, Hawaii became the 50th state. President Dwight Eisenhower signed the proclamation admitting Hawaii to the Union. Anyone feel like a nice Hawaiian Punch? 2. We have no official word if Hawaiian Punch is on the menu, but there is a summer barbecue planned by the Westborough Republican Town Committee today from 4 to 7 p.m. at 9 Thomas Newton Dr. State Rep.
