The frozen yogurt shop now has a marquee sign above its space at the Westborough Shopping Center.
One of Westborough's new frozen yogurt shops is taking shape. iYogurt now has a marquee sign above its space at the Westborough Shopping Center, at 30 Lyman St., between Lyn Evans Potpourri Designs and Mayuri Indian Cuisine. Contractors worked in the shop Friday. And smaller signs have been placed at the shopping center's Route 9 and Lyman Street entrances. iYogurt initially had just a "coming soon" sign. Health Inspector Terry Gilchrist has approved the shop's plans. Gilchrist also has approved plans for the Snow Bowl, in Bay State Commons.

A frozen yogurt shop plans to open at Westborough's Bay State Commons. The Snow Bowl's plans were approved by Health Inspector Terry Gilchrist in April, she told the board of health in her April inspection report. Gilchrist said she also discussed the plans with Snow Bowl owner Ken Kim. The Snow Bowl would be Westborough's third frozen yogurt shop. IYogurt plans to open at the Westborough Shopping Center, at 30 Lyman St. Gilchrist said she has approved the plans. Fruitti Cup opened at 31 South St., near the Westborough rotary, last summer.

Health inspector fields two inquiries.
Two people considering opening frozen yogurt shops in Westborough contacted Health Inspector Terry Gilchrist last month. Gilchrist mentioned the calls in her January report to the board of health. Westborough has one frozen yogurt shop: Fruitti Cup, which opened last June at 31 South St.

The downtown location is now taking applications for employment.
Fruitti Cup, a frozen yogurt store, is scheduled to open on June 1. The store is located at 31 South Street, between Sabatini’s Restaurant and TJ Farm convenience store. Hopefully, this place will actually mean it if they claim some flavors are "fat free". There is nothing more annoying then being told the yogurt is "fat free", but then being told they use 2% milk as the base. The place near Westborough center is an example. There are others. I am a simple man, but how can you POSSIBLY call that fat free? more ›
