Dry Conditions Spark Fire Threat

Gusty northwest winds are expected Friday afternoon.

The National Weather Service is warning of elevated fire weather conditions developing Friday afternoon and continuing into Saturday. Gusty northwest winds are expected Friday afternoon. The winds plus dry conditions will create a fire hazard, according to the agency. Elevated fire conditions will continue through mid-day Saturday, but winds should diminish in the afternoon. There is a “low probability” that southwest winds on Sunday will cause a wind advisory. The elevate fire weather conditions stretch from Massachusetts to Rhode Island.

Letter: Thank You for Saving My Father

Son of crash victim writes of his gratitude to Westborough firefighters.

It is unusual for me to have found a place of such positivity and hopefulness on the Internet that I am very much afraid my acknowledgement will be wholly inadequate. My family and I are also appreciative of the degree of journalistic integrity we’ve seen at Westborough Patch (I found this site through trying to piece together the events surrounding the accident). The cell phone video and the reservation of …
