2 Town Restaurants Feature Fresh Local Produce

From Westborough farms to Westborough restaurants, fresh produce is on the menu.

There’s a new wave on the culinary scene and two Westborough restaurants are riding the crest. Both 1790 House, under new management, and Not Your Average Joe’s now offer innovative new menu selections based on locally sourced foods. They are two very different restaurants with a similar philosophy: offering guests the freshest produce, meats and cheeses available while supporting local farms and the community. A Dog Fight Prompts Letter About Tufts Farm Field

Official asks dog owners to supervise pets while using off-leash area.

Recent aggressive behavior between dogs prompted an official at the Tufts Farm Field to issue a letter reminding dog owners to supervise their animals when using the newly opened off-leash area. Tom Keppler, Associate Director of Public Relations for the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Grafton, issued the letter Jan. 4 via Facebook to followers of the field's Facebook page. "Recently, a fight between two dogs sent one of the animals to the veterinarian. Additionally, we have received a letter of complaint from a neighbor who had to deal with a loose dog who went under the fence and onto his property," he wrote.
