Hundreds gathered at Bay State Commons in Westborough to participate in a vigil for Lizzi Marriott.
"This light on the table represents the light of God, and the light that shines in the darkness and the light that is Lizzi Marriott," pastor John Wesley Taylor told the crowd of hundreds that gathered at Bay State Commons Saturday night. On Saturday morning, dozens of community members had gathered at this same place to figure out ways to expand the search for Elizabeth "Lizzi" Marriott. By evening, Bay State Commons had become the meeting place to mourn her loss. Marriott, who attended UNH, was last heard from on Tuesday evening, when she texted a friend. "Sickness" is how Dawn Downey described her reaction to hearing the news. "I was reluctant to believe anything until I heard it just now," said Nicole, who added that she and Marriott had been …

A recent poll by Public Policy Polling shows more Massachusetts residents are in favor of assisted suicide than not. Out of the 936 people polled between March 16 and March 18, 43 percent said they would be in favor of legalizing assisted suicide, while 37 percent said they are against it and 20 percent are unsure. Amongst older residents, however, the number of those that oppose assisted suicide rises. Forty-four percent of those polled over the age of 65 said they are against it. Those between 46 and 65, however, had the highest number in favor of the idea at 49 percent. In today's poll question, we're …
