Robbery - Case No. 120715 Dec. 17, 2012 Commerce Bank in Shrewsbury Case Details: He wrote "Gimmie the money" on a note to a teller. Now, Shrewsbury Police want to have a few words with him: you're under arrest. Police continue investigating the Dec. 17 robbery of the Commerce Bank. Police describe the suspect as six feet tall, "skinny/wiry 175 lbs., reddish/brown scruffy beard, (and) 'piercing' blue eyes." Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Shrewsbury Police Detective Michael McGinnis at 508-845-4681.

The bank's annual holiday drive ends Dec. 14.
Commerce Bank again hopes visitors invest in kids this holiday season. Thirteen Commerce offices in Central Mass. are collecting toys for the bank's annual "Toys for Tots" drive, which supports the Worcester County Marine Corps Reserve's "Toys for Tots" program, bank officials said in a press release today. These Commerce branches will accept new, unwrapped toys until Friday, Dec. 14:

The food drive will continue through Nov. 21 with the goal of stocking the pantry for the holiday season. The Westborough office is one of 13 locations in central Massachusetts participating in the annual drive. “Articles of gently used clothing collected in Commerce Bank offices will be sold in local Salvation Army Thrift Stores, with the proceeds going to help fund the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Worcester,” according to a bank press statement.
