Armstrong School Rises to Celebrate Chinese Moon Festival
Chinese calligraphy, dance and song were among Monday night's activities.
Some Armstrong Elementary School students and parents tried Chinese calligraphy Monday night in the school cafeteria. They also sampled traditional moon cakes. And tried using chopsticks. And viewed a slide presentation by Jen Li, a member of the school's diversity council. And then, introduced by parent Hairong Chen, students from Westborough and neighboring communities danced and sung on the stage. Monday night's introduction to the Chinese Moon Festival was the latest such event, each focusing on a different culture, organized by the diversity council, council member Janet Hart told the crowd.
