Ground Broken for Bank
St. Mary's Credit Union's Westborough branch will open in 2013.
Ground was broken today at a new bank at the intersection of routes 9 and 30 in Westborough that will participate in two big events in 2013. The opening of St. Mary’s Credit Union’s newest branch, and the celebration of St. Mary’s 100th anniversary, Vice President of Marketing Anthony Battista said during the ceremony. The Westborough branch will open at 96 Turnpike Road, where Friendly's operated a restaurant before filing for bankruptcy in October 2011. “Oftentimes, we like to see green development on top of property that hasn’t been developed previously, because it increases our property taxes.
