Police Arrest Man for Multiple Car Break-ins

Police have arrested a man they believe is involved in break-ins in Marlborough, Hudson, Westborough, Sudbury, Shrewsbury, and Clinton.

Police have arrested a man they believe to be responsible for multiple car break-ins in Marlborough and many surrounding towns. "Mr. Carty also made statements which implicated him in similar crimes in other municipalities including Hudson, Westborough, Sudbury, Shrewsbury, and Clinton," according to a press release put out by Marlborough Police detailing the arrest. Police arrested Christopher Carty, 27, of 207 Lincoln Street Apt. 3 on Route 290 Westbound Thursday. The arrest followed an ongoing investigation which gave police information about a vehicle and suspect related to break-ins the area of the Rail Trail near Sasseville Way. Officers observed a vehicle fitting the description of suspect vehicle in the area of Sasseville Way. …

3 Westborough Cases Heard in Court Last Week

These are the Westborough related cases as they appeared last week in the logs of the Westborough District Court.

  Monday, June 18 Samantha E. Huntt, 43, 10 Mayberry Dr., Apt. 2, Westborough was arrested by Westborough police on June 16 and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise for an incident that happened at Kohl’s in Northborough. Judge Vito Virzi decriminalized the charge and found Huntt responsible. She was ordered to pay $250 in court fees. Thursday, June 21 Melva A. Mendez, 27, of 9 Litchfield St., Apt. 2 in Worcester was summonsed to the court on a March 19 complaint by the Westborough police department and charged with marked lane violation and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Virzi found Mendez not responsible on the first charge and dismissed the second charge upon payment of $200 in court costs. Isaac M. …

  Monday, June 11 Jerieme L. Daley, 29, of 146 Walnut St., Apt. 2, Malden, was summonsed to court on a complaint April 2 by Westborough police and charged with driving with a suspended license, subsequent offense. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the charge upon payment of $200. Freddy Escobar, 22, of 135 E. Main St., Apt. U-11, Westborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint June 8 by Westborough police and charged with driving without a license and speeding. Virzi continued the case to July 13. Jessica K. Ward, 19, of 10 Isaac Miller Rd., Westborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint June 9 by Northborough police and charged with OUI liquor, marked lanes violation and possession/use of false/stolen Registry of Motor Vehicles documents…

  Monday, June 4 Gregory D. Aghjayan, 48, of 171 Ruggles St. Apt. 2, Westborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint by Northborough police May 16 and charged with accosting/annoying a person of the opposite sex and soliciting sexual conduct for a fee. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case to July 19. Kirby K. Tang, 28, of 297 Turnpike Rd., Westborough, was arrested May 30 by Westborough police and charged with open and gross lewdness. Police said Tang exposed himself in the pool at Fountainhead Apartments in order to masturbate, according to the police report. 4 Arrested at Lake Chauncy on Drug Charges

Westborough teen among those charged.

  A search of a suspicious vehicle at Lake Chauncy led to the arrest of four people in Westborough Monday evening. Three adults and a juvenile will appear in court on drug related charges. According to a press release from the Westborough Police Department, Officer Greg McRae investigated a 1999 Honda parked at the boat ramp of the lake just after 6:30 p.m. There were three men and a woman inside the car. The operator of the car was Michael Bougoulas, 19, of 29 Hampsire St. in Sudbury. While McRae was speaking with Bougoulas, he reportedly noted a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the car. He also reported that the others in the car were attempting to conceal items. A search followed and revealed a large amount of marijuana…

Secure Communities Coming to Massachusetts

Beginning next week, Secure Communities will be enacted in Massachusetts. The program identifies illegal immigrants charged with crimes for deportation.

  Despite objections from Gov. Deval Patrick, a federal program that identifies illegal immigrants who are charged with crimes for deportation, will be introduced this month in Massachusetts. "I think it's a good thing," said Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon. "If it gets violent offenders off the street, then I'm all for it." The Secure Communities program, run by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, will begin next week, May 15, in Massachusetts. New Hampshire started the program yesterday. Under the program, local police will continue to send fingerprints of people arrested for offenses to the FBI. But, under Secure Communities, the finger prints are then sent to Homeland Security, where they are matched against information in …
