Clinton Man Charged in Target Armed Robbery Attempt

Westborough police detectives made the arrest on Saturday, June 23.

  A Clinton man was arrested Saturday, June 23 and charged in connection with a June 5 armed robbery attempt at the Westborough Target store. According to a statement from Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon, Jason Hancock, 39, of 352 Main St., #7, in Clinton was arrested at 5:45 p.m. Detectives from the Westborough Police Department made the arrest after an investigation that evolved when Hancock was arrested by Marlborough police for a June 16 larceny of a Target store in that city. Hancock was charged with armed assault with intent to rob and also larceny of $250 for a television he stole from the same store on June 14. Westborough Man Charged With Breaking Into Northborough Building

A suspect has been charged with possessing burglary items as well as trespassing.

  A Westborough man has been charged with breaking and entering in the daytime after they discovered him looking into an abandoned building on West Main Street with a crowbar in hand. Christopher Shaw, 31, 33 Hopkinton Rd., Westborough, was charged by Northborough police with possession of burglarious equipment, breaking and entering in the daytime and trespassing. Police responded to calls of suspicious activity at 39 West Main St., where an abandoned building sits, shortly after 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 14. According to police, Shaw was seen looking into the building and attempted to gain entry. When officers arrived, he was near the back of the building and trying to "hide something." Man Charged With Breaking Into Van at T Station

The man admitted to breaking into a van at the Westborough parking lot and taking a GPS.

  A Worcester man was arrested after breaking into a van at the Westborough commuter rail station yesterday afternoon. Westborough police were called to the MBTA station parking lot on Smith Parkway at 4:52 p.m. on Thursday, June 7. A woman reportedly said that a man with a black hat and cane was trying to break into cars in the lot. The woman stayed on the phone with police until they arrived and proceeded to point out the suspect, who was then sitting on a bench on the westbound side of the rail tracks. According to a statement from Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon, Officer Dean Paine located a GPS inside a plastic bag that was next to the suspect.   From the public logs of the Westborough District Court:   Monday May 21 Zachary D. Remian, 22, of 266 East Main St., Westborough, was summonsed to court by Grafton police on a complaint Feb. 22 and charged with driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, and speeding. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the first charges and found him responsible on the other two charges and fined him $100 on each charge. Sharon A. Curtin, 24, of 29 Janebar Circle, Framingham, was summonsed to court by Westborough police on a complaint May 19 and charged with OUI liquor and marked lanes violation.
