When I walked in, I was greeted by Nina, a friendly and kind masseuse. The atmosphere was wonderfully intimate and relaxing. She took note of my previous injuries and medical background, washed her hands, and invited me to lie down as she began her therapeutic massage. I immediately felt myself relax as soon as she started. Her touch and kneading were just right. I have been suffering from tennis elbow and this was an area she spent a lot of time working on. She instinctively seemed to know where the knots and tensions were, and she moved gently yet deliberately as she deftly worked them out. Overall, this was a wonderfully magical massage experience. In my opinion, "A Basic Knead" is one of Westborough's hidden treasures.

After coping with back and neck pain for several years, I decided to try massage therapy. I looked for a well-trained therapist with whom I was comfortable and was having no luck. One day, while I was waiting for my son in an office Nina shared with an OT practice, I saw her walking a client to the door after a massage session. I was impressed with how Nina communicated with her client. Nina seemed knowledgeable, professional, and in tune with her client's needs. After that, I made an appointment and it's one of the best things I've ever done for myself. One of the things I like best about Nina's approach is that she evaluates how I'm doing at the start of every appointment so she can work on any immediate pain issues without neglecting my chronic ones. I feel so much better physically and mentally since I started deep tissue massage therapy with Nina. She is a wonderful, intuitive therapist and an even nicer person. I highly recommend her.
