YWCA Westborough Child Care

The YWCA’s Childcare Center located at 15 Grove Street was reaccredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children – the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals.

“We’re proud to be accredited by NAEYC and to be recognized for our commitment to reaching the highest professional standards,” said Linda Granville, Director of Children’s Services for the YWCA. “NAEYC accreditation lets families in our community know that children in our program are getting the best care and early learning experiences.”

The YWCA provides infant, toddler, pre-school and after school childcare in a nurturing, stimulating environment. At the YWCA’s renovated childcare facility, children receive developmentally age-appropriate education, with emphasis on developing their intellect and socialization skills and gross and fine motor skills. The YWCA’s pre-school programs teaches young children how to socialize in a group setting and prepares them socially and intellectually for when they reach school age.

The YWCA is a leader in center-based childcare in central Massachusetts. The YWCA’s pre-school programs teach children skills that promote school readiness, and YWCA after-school programs provide children with planned education and recreational activities.

NAEYC created its accreditation program in 1985 to set professional standards for early childhood education, and to help families identify high-quality childcare and early education programs.
