Westborough High Homecoming Will be Super

Saturday's super-hero themed event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the lower parking lot and fields. Ticket prices range from $1 to $5 depending on the number, and an unlimited pass is $7.

Westborough High School's Student Council will welcome many Superboys and Wonder Girls on Saturday.

This year's Westborough High Homecoming theme is "super-heroes."

The event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the lower parking lot and fields. Ticket prices range from $1 to $5 depending on the number, and an unlimited pass is $7.

"It's good for both boys and girls. Everybody loves super-heroes," junior Erin McCarthy said.

"And it's all out in the stores, so they can get decorations."

"And there's so many super-heroes out there," senior Katie Heffernan added.

"There's so many options with what to wear."

The festivities will include super-hero themed activities, such as "decorate a mask," and "Wonder Woman's Lasso," where "you lasso a bucket," McCarthy said.

Kids are encouraged to come in costume, she said.

McCarthy said the idea arose during brainstorming during the student council's summer retreat.

"It's different than we've had in previous years. We haven't had anything close to it," Heffernan said.

Visitors can also watch the Westborough High varsity football team in action, against Quabbin at 1 p.m.
