Ride the New Westborough Shuttle

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your week in Westborough.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1.  Ride the bus in Westborough.

The Worcester Regional Transit Authority's new weekday Westborough bus service starts Monday.

2.  Learn about Medicare.

A seminar on 2014 Medicare options will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston-Westborough, 5400 Computer Drive.


3. Decorate wreaths.

A wreath decorating workshop will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Harvey's Farm in Westborough. Pre-registration Is required. The cost is $10, plus the cost of materials.

4. Hear a holiday concert.

The Westborough Community Chorus' holiday concert, "Holiday Joy," is at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Gibbons Middle School. Tickets are $12 for adults, and $9 for children and seniors.

5. Take a cold swim.

In Your Shoes will hold the Polar Plunge from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at Lake Chauncy, on Lyman Street.  Admission is free for anyone who wants to watch, but there is a fee for plunging ($100 minimum/adult and $50 minimum/teenager 16-18 yrs of age).
