Monday Essentials: Hear About 'Four Lost Quabbin Towns'

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Learn about history.

The Westborough Historical Society will present "Four Lost Quabbin Towns," a program by J.R. Greene, at 7 p.m. Monday at the Westborough Public Library, 55 West Main St. This event is free and open to the public.

2. Interview at The Children's Workshop.

The Children's Workshop holds a career day from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at 6 Bellows Road.

3. Support the Friends of the Westborough Public Library.

It's having a book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in the meeting room of the library. 

4. Prepare for town meeting.

The Westborough Planning Board will discuss its proposed zoning bylaw changes over two upcoming public hearings.

The proposals are on the Oct. 21 special town meeting warrant.

The board will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Forbes Municipal Building Suite 23 on these proposed changes:

• Article 2. District Regulations. Section 2600. Dimensional Schedule Subsection 2610, footnote "i" and by creating a new footnote "q"

• Freshman volleyball: at Bishop Feehan, 3:30 p.m.
