Monday Essentials: Curious About Fungi?

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your week in Westborough.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1.  Catch "42".

The Westborough Public Library’s next movie presentation for adults will be "42," at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

2.  Hear a concert at WHS.

The Westborough public schools' annual Choral Collage concert is at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Westborough High School auditorium. Admission is free.

3. Support the Westborough library: buy books.

The Friends of the Westborough Public Library will hold a book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the meeting room of the library.  Admission is free. 

4. Learn about fungi.

The Westborough Community Land Trust holds a fungus walk from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Wile Forest, at the end of Carroll Drive.

5. Root for the Rangers.

  • JV football: at Shrewsbury, 3:30 p.m.
  • Freshman football: vs. Shrewsbury, 3:30 p.m.
  • Freshman boys soccer: at Marlborough, 3:30 p.m.
  • Freshman girls soccer: at Marlborough, 3:30 p.m.
