Monday Essentials: Bank Comes to Westborough High

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your week in Westborough.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Westborough High School gets a bank.

The grand opening of Central One Federal Credit Union's branch at WHS is on Monday.

2. The Westborough Health and Recreation Departments have moved.

Both of them moved on Friday as part of the Westborough Town Hall renovation project. Health moved from the Forbes Municipal Building to the Central One Federal Credit Union on South Street. Recreation moved from town hall to the Forbes Community Building on East Main Street.

3. Learn about the proposed Westborough State Hospital deal.

The third informational meeting is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Westborough High School.

4. Root for the Rangers.

Here is Monday's Westborough High School sports schedule:

  • Freshman football: at Nashoba, 3:30 p.m.
  • JV football: vs. Nashoba, 3:30 p.m.
  • Golf: at Quabbin, at Dunroamin Golf Club, 3:30 p.m.
  • Varsity field hockey: at Shrewsbury, 4 p.m.
  • Freshman boys soccer: vs. North Middlesex, at Gibbons Middle School, 4 p.m.
  • Freshman girls soccer: vs. North Middlesex, at Mill Pond School, 4 p.m.
  • JV field hockey: at Shrewsbury, 5:30 p.m.

5. Learn about the Girl Scouts.

Westborough Girl Scout Brownie Troop 30516 meets from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday in Tatnuck Bookseller's event room.
