WCLT Prepares for Earth Day Cleanup

Organizers are open to your suggestions on trashy sites.

The Westborough Community Land Trust (WCLT) invites residents to make a year's worth of difference for Westborough by taking part in the WCLT-sponsored 14th annual town-wide Earth Day clean-up on Saturday, April 21, rain or shine.

Spring weather may have arrived early this year, but as usual, trash has accumulated around town throughout the winter.

Early risers will meet at 6:30 a.m. at either West Meadow Plaza (Rt. 9/135 intersection) or Bellows Road (behind Friendly's parking lot). Families and anyone who wants a later start will meet at the parking lot on Lyman St. at 9 a.m. Gloves and sturdy shoes are recommended.

For information and/or to suggest sites in town that need a trash cleaning, contact Bruce Tretter at 508-446-7790 or earthday@westboroughlandtrust.org.

Great note! One minor correction: Lake Chauncy start time is 9:30. Families and those who want to start at that time can come to the Lake Chauncy parking lot to get trash bags as well as a photograph and map of specific sites in town in need of cleaning. Looking forward to it!
