Project Graduation Needs Volunteers and Donations

Organizers are hoping to defray the $15,000 cost for the 2012 event.

 

Organizers of 2012 Project Graduation are looking for volunteers and donations. The overnight party is held annually on the night of high school graduation to provide a chemical free celebration for graduates.

This year’s event will be held on June 9 at Teamworks in Northborough and will include decorations, entertainment, food, games and recreational sports. The cost of the program is expected to be $15,000.

Co-chairs Maura Shunney, Sharon Lees and Lynne Atkinson are hoping volunteers will step forward to help with fundraising, food, decorations and publicity. Those interested are asked to email mauramqs@aol.com.

To cover the cost of the event, the families of graudating seniors are asked for a donation of $35. In addition, the group has accepted donations from the following area businesses:
