The walkers helped to raise over $15,000 for cancer research and care.

Four Westborough residents were recently honored as Pacesetters in the 2011 Boston Marathon  Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai. Chief Alan Gordon, Sally Harwood, Timothy Horgan and teacher Kathleen Swanson raised more than $15,000 of the nearly $7 million in the 2011 Jimmy Fund Walk, which benefits adult and pediatric cancer research and care at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

“The commitment of our walkers, especially at the Pacesetter level, is crucial to the Jimmy Fund Walk’s fundraising efforts,” said Ann Beach, director of the Jimmy Fund Walk.
