WHS Golfers 4th at League Meet

Westborough senior Sam DiOrio led the Rangers with an 81.

The Mid-Wach B champion Westborough High School golf team placed fourth at Tuesday's league meet at the Townsend Ridge Country Club.

The Rangers finished the six-team meet with 340 points, according to results provided by head coach Greg Rota. Nashoba was first with 314 points, followed by Marlborough (329) and Hudson (336).

Westborough senior Sam DiOrio led the Rangers with an 81. Marlborough's Jason Short (70) had the best individual performance. Groton-Dunstable's Evan Bunis was second (75), and Nashoba's Alec Dempsey and Jared Richard were next (77 each).

Besides DiOrio, Westborough was represented by sophomore Jeff Arnold (82); senior Nic Ross (87), and juniors Jack Pierce (90), Gavin Wilsker (92) and Sam Lehman (92).
