WHS Boys Soccer Earns Top Seed in Sectionals

The Rangers will head right to the quarterfinal round, at noon Sunday at WHS.

The Westborough High School varsity boys soccer team is the top seed in its post-season sectionals bracket, earning a first-round bye.

The Rangers will open the 2013 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Soccer Central Division 1 tournament in the quarterfinals at noon Sunday at WHS, according to the tournament website.

Westborough (14-1-3) will host the winner of Friday's Quabbin-South first round game. Sunday's winner advances to the semi-finals.

South (6-5-7) is seeded eighth in the 12-team tournament. Quabbin (8-8-2) is seeded ninth.

Westborough won the Midland-Wachusett League B championship this season.
