WHS Boys Soccer Earns ESPNBoston Ranking

The Rangers are 20th in the website's latest top-20 poll.

The Westborough High School varsity boys soccer team is 18th in ESPNBoston's latest top-20 poll.

The Rangers weren't ranked last week by ESPNBoston's panel of staff writers and correspondents.

"The Rangers avenged their only loss of the season by beating Quabbin, 6-2. Westborough was also the first team to beat then No. 1 Ludlow this season," according to this week's poll, which was posted Tuesday.

Westborough won the Midland-Wachusett B League title by defeating host Hudson, 2-0, on Tuesday.

Westborough (13-1-2 overall, 5-1-2 in the league) travels to Nipmuc at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

The WHS girls soccer team also has been ranked in ESPNBoston's top 20 recently. The latest ranking had not been posted as of Wednesday afternoon.
