Rangers Boys Soccer Records Second Straight Shutout

Westborough is off until Tuesday, when the Rangers travel to Leominster at 4 p.m. at Doyle Field.

The Westborough High School varsity boys soccer team remains undefeated -- and unscored upon.

The Rangers are 2-0 after defeating host Nashoba, 2-0, on Friday, head coach John Hillier said.

Senior tri-captain Brendan Goodliffe and classmate Tyler Slicklen scored for Westborough, Hillier said. Senior Ethan Peterson earned two assists.

Sophomore keeper Griffin Barry earned his second shutout.

The Rangers were led on defense by senior tri-captain Carter Reynolds, seniors Sean VanDoren and Danny Feigelman, and juniors Jake Pirdy and Charlie Buress, Hillier said.

Westborough opened its season with a 5-0 win over host Grafton last Tuesday night.
