Rangers Volleyball Team is Sectionals Champs
Westborough now will advance to the state Division 2 semi-finals at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hudson, according to the tournament bracket. Westborough will face the West champion.
The Westborough High School varsity volleyball team is the Sectionals champion this fall.
Now, the Rangers are two wins away from being the state Division 2 champion.
Westborough defeated Canton, 3-1, in the 2013 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls Volleyball Central Division 2 final on Saturday at Hudson.
The Rangers now will advance to the state Division 2 semi-finals at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hudson, according to the tournament bracket. Westborough will face the West champion.
Thursday night's winner advances to the state Division 2 final, at 3 p.m. next Saturday at Algonquin, against the North-South semi-final winner.
Westborough (16-2 regular season) was seeded second in the Sectionals. Canton (17-2) was seeded first.
