Perfect Sunday For WHS Sports

Westborough High School swept the three varsity sports Sectionals contests it hosted Sunday.

The boys soccer team defeated South, 3-1, in the 2013 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Soccer Central Division 1 quarterfinals.

Westborough advances to the semi-finals against the winner of Monday night's Shepherd Hill-Algonquin quarterfinal. The semi-final winner advances to the final.

The volleyball team defeated Milton, 3-0, in the 2013 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls Volleyball Central Division 2 first round game.

Westborough advances to the quarterfinals. The Rangers will host Tantasqua at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The winner advances to the semifinals against the winner of Monday night's quarterfinal between Groton-Dunstable and Medfield.
