Westborough now will host Tantasqua at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The winner advances to the semi-finals against the winner of Monday night's quarterfinal between Groton-Dunstable and Medfield.
Sunday, the Rangers "just wanted to come in and work hard. And I think we did that," Anderson said.
"That was our goal. We take every opponent very seriously," he said.
Westborough (16-2 regular season) is seeded second in the 15-team tournament. Milton (7-13) is seeded 15th.
Tantasqua (13-5) is seeded seventh. Tantasqua defeated visiting St. Peter-Marian, 3-0, in a first round game Saturday night, according to the tournament bracket. St. Peter-Marian (11-7) is the 10th seed.
Westborough didn't face Tantasqua this fall, Anderson said.
"We know they're a pretty good team because they've already won a tournament game," he said.
"We'll expect them to bring their best. And we'll do the same."
