Dunk One In for Cancer supported the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.

A two-hour basketball tournament/bar mitzvah project raised more than $2,000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund on Sunday.

The Dunk One In for Cancer tournament organized by Mill Pond School sixth-grader Will Schiffman drew 30 kids, said Will's mother, Wendy.

The Boston Sports Club at Westborough hosted the event.

Will Schiffman organized the tournament to help people with cancer. He was inspired by a boy named Josh, a boy he met while playing for the Westborough 10-Year-Old All-Star baseball team two years ago. Josh died of cancer later that year.
