Westborough High School seniors Hannah Crowley and Riley Taylor have received Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents' Certificate of Academic Excellence Awards.

Westborough School Superintendent Marianne O'Connor presented the awards during last Wednesday night's school committee meeting.

She said she chose the students after meeting with the administration, "and you know the talent at that high school."

O'Connor said that among Crowley's accomplishments are: president of the WHS Best Buddies group; serving as a youth minister at her church; serving on the school's math team; and serving as a varsity field hockey captain.

"I wish you the best. I know you're going to do great things," O'Connor said.

O'Connor said that among Taylor's accomplishments are: participating in the Relay For Life; serving as an active member of the National Honor Society; serving as a class officer for four years; and serving as a boys cross-country captain.

"He wants to continue to challenge himself," O'Connor said.
