Mill Pond Principal to Retire

Reene Hatherley has served the Westborough schools for 30 years.

Mill Pond School Principal Reene Hatherley will retire this summer.

Hatherley announced her plans in a recent e-mail to Mill Pond parents.

“Please know that I have truly been committed to my responsibilities as Mill Pond’s principal, and I will continue to give 100% of my effort and care to this important role until the end of the school year when I will pass on that responsibility to someone else,” Hatherley said.

“After 34 years as an educator, 30 years in this district as a teacher and administrator, it is time for me to look to the future and devote more time to my family. It has been my honor to have the opportunity to work with so many wonderful children, families, and staff members.”

Hatherley joins Westborough High School Principal John Smith in announcing plans to step down after this school year.
