Health Department Faces Slight Hours Change After Move

The office will move to the second floor of the Central One Federal Credit Union, from the Forbes Municipal Building

The Westborough Health Department's hours will be "slightly different" after it moves to accommodate the Westborough Town Hall renovation this fall, Director of Public Health Paul McNulty told the board of health Tuesday night.

The office will move to the second floor of the Central One Federal Credit Union, from the Forbes Municipal Building, "sometime in September," McNulty said. "The majority of what we have in the office" will be stored in the Forbes auditorium, he said. The town hall project is expected to take 12 to 14 months.

The health department's current hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday; and 7:30 a.m. to noon Friday, according to the town's website.

"The bank closes at 4:30 p.m., so we will be closing at 4:30 p.m.," except for Tuesday nights, when the health department will close at 8 p.m., McNulty noted. Health and bank officials haven't agreed how health department patrons will enter the building after the bank closes on Tuesday, he said.

The board can meet in the bank's meeting room "as long as it doesn't conflict with other community groups," McNulty said.
