Woman Gets Probation for Assaulting 65-Year-Old With a Stick

Also in Westborough District Court this week, a man lost his license for two years.

Kaitlyn M. Prendville, 20, of 18 Upsala St., Apt. 3, Worcester, was arrested by Shrewsbury police on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60 years of age, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. Judge Vito Virzi continued the assault charge without a finding for six months, ordered  Prendville to remain on supervised probation for that period of time and to take part in an anger management program. The other two charges were dismissed. According to police, Prendville allegedly assaulted a 65-year-old woman with a three-foot wooden stick in an incident that dated to May of 2012. 

Miguel Flores, 37, of 118 Remington Court, Chester, PA, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face charges of possession of a class B substance and possession of an open container of alcohol. Judge Vito Virzi found Flores guilty on the possession charge and ordered him to a $200 fine. He was found not responsible on the second charge. 

Anael Santos, 42, of 110 Boston Post Rd. E., Apt. 201, Marlborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Shrewsbury police to face a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Judge Vito Virzi found Santos responsible of a decriminalized version of the charge and ordered him to pay $600 in fines. 

Judge Vito Virzi found Jose M. Rivera, 30, of 35 Benefit St., Worcester, guilty of operating under the influence of alcohol, second offense, and sentenced him to two years of supervised probation and two years loss of license. A charge of possession of class B substance was dismissed and Rivera was also found guilty of driving with a suspended license and reckless operation of a motor vehicle. He was found not responsible on charges of marked lanes violation and driving the wrong way on a state highway. The charges were originally brought by Shrewsbury police. 

Judge Vito Virzi found Santos G. Lopes, 32, of 2A Pelham St., Apt. 2, Worcester, guilty of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, ordering him to pay an $800 fine, and responsible on a charge of failure to stop or yield, for which he was fined $100. The charges had been brought by Shrewsbury police. 

Kimberly M. Zukowski, 32, of 15 Haynes St., Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Northborough police to face a charge of assault and battery. Judge Vito Virzi released Zukowski on personal recognizance and set a pretrial hearing for Jan. 7. 

Roxana D. Green, 31, of 18 Rutland Rd., Northborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Northborough police to face a charge of assault and battery. Judge Vito Virzi released her on personal recognizance and set a pretrial hearing for Jan. 7. 

Judge Vito Virzi dismissed a charge of assault and battery brought by Shrewsbury police against Daniel Lucey, 17, of 15 Ashwood Circle, Shrewsbury. Prosecutors said the alleged victim no longer wished to pursue the case. 

Naomie Thomas, 22, of 21 Uplands Garden Dr., Apt. 11, Worcester, was summonsed to court on a complaint from Northborough police to face charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding in violation of a special regulation. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the unlicensed operation charge upon payment of $200 in court costs and found Thomas not responsible on the speeding charge.
