Westborough Police Warn of Scam
Some residents are receiving phone calls demanding cash.
The Westborough Police Department has issued a warning about a telephone scam some residents have been receiving.
Residents report receiving calls from an unknown person who claims that a family member is being held at gunpoint and cash is required for their release.
The calls are coming from an 860 area code and police are warning that it is, in fact, a scam.
