Westborough High Evacuated After Bomb Threat

Police: Incident may be connected similar incident last year.

Earlier this morning, Westborough High School was evacuated after a bomb threat, according to police.

At a little before 10:30 a.m. on March 27, Westborough Police were called to the school for a report of “a threatening note in a men’s bathroom” by a student, according to a press statement.

“The note alluded to a bomb in the building,” according to a statement by Chief Alan Gordon. “The building was evacuated and the students were brought to the baseball field where buses were available to keep the students warm.”

Police, firefighters, and school staffers searched the building, along with assistance from the Grafton Police Department. Nothing suspicious was found, according to Gordon. About an hour later, students were allowed to return to the building.

Gordon said, “there is evidence” that today’s bomb threat was connected to a similar bomb threat occurred in December 2013.
