He faces arraignment today.

A Shrewsbury teenager faces charges for jewelry store incidents in Westborough and Auburn.

Westborough Police are charging Sean Wogan, 19, of 352 Grafton St., with unarmed robbery for Thursday's incident at the Town & Country Jewelers in Westmeadow Plaza on Milk Street, Police Chief Alan Gordon said today.

Shrewsbury Police arrested Wogan on Westborough's warrant at his home Friday, Gordon said.

Auburn Police Chief Andrew J. Sluckis Jr. said today that Wogan is accused of taking a bracelet valued at $7,000 from the Auburn Mall shop on Friday.

Wogan asked a store employee if he could try on the bracelet, Sluckis said.

"As soon as it was on his wrist, he ran out the front door," the chief said.

Chased by two Kay Jewelers employees, Wogan allegedly ran to a vehicle parked at Toys "R" Us across the street, Sluckis said.

Auburn Police today will seek to charge Wogan with larceny over $250, Sluckis said. Wogan faces arraignment in Worcester District Court at a later date.

Auburn Police have not recovered the bracelet, Sluckis said.

In Westborough, Wogan is accused of grabbing two rings, valued at $1,000 and $300, from the hand of the Town & Country Jewelers owner, who was showing Wogan the items.

Wogan then allegedly ran into the parking lot, chased by the store owner, to an awaiting Mercury Mountaineer. Wogan allegedly sold the items to Jacob Jewelers on Route 9 in Shrewsbury that day. Police recovered the jewelry from that store.

The unarmed robbery happened around 1:44 p.m. Thursday.

Wogan was being held at the Shrewsbury Police station pending arraignment in Westborough District Court today, Gordon said.
