Probation, Counseling Ordered For School Board Chairman

Westborough District Court Judge Vito Virzi continued the case without a finding for nine months.

Westborough School Committee Chairman Ilyse Levine-Kanji was sentenced Thursday to nine months of supervised probation stemming from a June 20 incident at Westborough's community pool.

Westborough District Court Judge Vito Virzi continued the case without a finding for nine months, and ordered Levine-Kanji to stay three yards away from, and have no contact with, the victim, according to court records.

Virzi also ordered Levine-Kanji to address anger/temper issues in current counseling.

Levine-Kanji, 47, of 11 Rocklawn Road, had been charged with assault and battery in the incident.
